This technique involves the application of suction to areas of the body to relieve what is referred to in TCM as stagnation. This promotes the circulation of Qi in the area treated. Glass or plastic cups are applied to the designated area & suction is created within the cups. It may produce a red/purple color on the body area treated for 2-3 days. |
