Clinic Principal - Dr Thomas McKail


 

 

Dr. Thomas McKail has 30 years of professional clinical experience and is a lecturer in Chinese Medicine (TCM) - Traditional Chinese Medicine, Body Therapy Techniques, Massage Therapy and has a Master Degree Award in Chinese Martial Arts (Kung-Fu). He is Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Registered Acupuncturist under the CMRB- Chinese Medicine Registration Board (Victoria), regulated by the Government.

 

He is a Remedial Massage Therapist Member of  AAMT - Australian Association of Massage Therapists. He is Registered WorkCover and TAC Provider and listed with Private Health Funds.

He is also a Member of the Victorian Branch (SCMA) of the Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies of Australia – and FCMA Federation of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Societies, a member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies that has 43 countries representing 118 Societies of Chinese Medicine World Wide; endorsed by the World Health Organisation.

 

He is a well known Kung-Fu Master and is the Special Projects Officer for the National AKWF Office -Government Recognised Official Body being AKWF - Australian Kung-Fu / Wu-Shu Federation. From 1996 - 2001 he was the State Chairman and to date continues to be an active National Office member and was involved in the Olympic Wu-Shu / Kung-Fu development in Australia. From 2002-2005 he was the Adminisrator for the Victorian / Tasmanian Branch Administrator for the AKWF - Australian Kung-Fu / Wu-Shu Federation.

 

The needles used are of the highest grade and quality, individually sterilised and sealed needles; once they are used, they are disposed of immediately.

 

In some instances a Laser is used instead of Acupuncture needles. Health Funds offer rebates for Acupuncture & or Chinese Medicine / (TCM) - Traditional Chinese Medicine.
